Eat Mediterranean, Eat @ STAVROS'!

Do you love to eat Mediterranean food? or do you want to eat in a restaurant that is something different aside from your usual restaurants?  Well, STAVROS' is the best solution to your questions!

When I first came to Stavros', I had no idea on what to order. There were lots of delicious and mouth-watering dishes on their menu and I just can't choose what to eat. Good thing the waitress gave us some suggestions on what to order. Since I'll be having my dinner, I decided to order Fried Fish Fillet with Creamy Garlic Sauce and Greek Salad. For my dessert, I opt to go for Panna Cotta. When they have served me my order, I was surprised that it's a large serving. Their one serving of greek salad and fish fillet is good for 2 persons. I was glad that I was able to share it with my twin sister. At first I thought that their dishes were expensive but on the second thought, it's actually affordable because their meals are good for 2 persons. Stavros' is such a great and affordable restaurant! When I left the place, I was so full and delighted. I'll surely return to that place and try out their other dishes.

 Greek salad is made of lettuce, cucumbers, olives, tomatoes and feta cheese. Along with the salad, we were also served with some Pita bread.

I strongly recommend you try this yummy dish. This the best dish I have eaten at Stavros'! 

 Stavros' offers delectable desserts such as Panna Cotta, Baklava and Tiramisu.

Mooon Cafe is a Mexican inspired restaurant that serves Mexican dishes which are affordable and delicious! It's a definitely a must try for those who haven't eaten in this restaurant.

Mooon Cafe has a nice ambiance and has good food that's why I keep coming back to this place!

The juice tastes like melon dew and it's filled with apple and cucumber slices.

 Mooon Cafe's All-time favorite - Chimichanga

Crispy flour tortilla filled with tender, mild-spiced beef, cheese, sour cream, salsa rojo. Topped with strips of lettuce and sour cream.

Sizzling pork steak topped with gravy sauce and served with rice and vegetables.

Mooon Cafe is definitely the best restaurant here in Iloilo City. I considered it as my favorite restaurant in town!

I had a great dining experience in Mooon Cafe and had an unforgettable bonding time with my cousins. It's worth coming back and eating in this place.

A Cupcake Buff

I was a major fan of cupcakes ever since different cupcake shows appeared on television. There's DC Cupcakes, Cupcake Wars, and the Cupcake Girls. My all-time favorite show was DC Cupcakes. I really like the sisters owning that cupcake business. Sometimes they would fight or have some misunderstandings, but at the end of the day they're still sisters! Aside from the sisters, what I like about their show is that I could get information or know hows about cupcake. I really enjoy watching the show and sometimes drool over their yummy cupcakes.

Aside from cupcakes shows, I also like reading blogs about cupcakes. My two favorite blogs are Cupcakes take the Cake and The Cupcake Blog. These blogs are very helpful and interesting. I could see lots of cupcakes that are beautifully designed and made with passion.


Getting inspiration from cupcake shows and cupcake blogs, I decided to bake some cupcakes! I have baked 2 kinds of cupcakes. First one is the Red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and the other one is Vanilla cupcake with chocolate ganache. Take a look at my finished products..

This was my first time to bake red velvet cupcakes. I was just so curious about it so, I decided to give it a try. I know that it won't be as perfect as it would be but I was just wondering why it didn't formed a round shape at the top? Maybe there's a lacking ingredient in my cupcake. I got the recipe from my friend and from the internet and the cupcake tastes good! It's worth the try.

The frosting in this cupcake easily melted because I didn't know that the cupcake was still hot. My bad!

I was planning to bake some on my niece's christening so, I decided to place a sample picture on the cupcake to check what  it looks like.

This is just the beginning of something new about my passion for cupcakes. I will be baking more cupcakes soon and experiment with it.

A Day @ Bearland Paradise Resort!

The newest Paradise Resort is now here in Iloilo! It's located at Brgy. Tanpael, Tigbauan and it's just a 20 minute drive from the city!
