Double Chocolate with Strawberries

It was a hot Friday afternoon when my college classmate invited me to stroll at a mall. She then told me that she was going to treat us for a snack so I then suggested to eat at Book Latte. I've been seeing their Facebook page and I couldn't help but drool over those luscious waffles. So I tried this Double Chocolate waffle with strawberries. It's a two piece waffle with a slice of butter, chocolate chips, strawberries (not fresh) and with a drizzle of chocolate syrup. It's perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack paired with a hot cup of cocoa or your favorite drink. The only thing I don't like in this waffle is that the strawberries. I was expecting for fresh strawberries but they served canned ones.

Rainbow Slushies & Pretzel

Oh how I missed this freshly baked pretzel from Rainbow Slushies & Pretzel! Too bad they have already closed down. They were open for just a couple of months and I don't know what happened that they had never opened again. I was planning to try out all varieties of their pretzels because they really look mouthwatering especially for a sweet toothed person like me! Haha.. I can remember how my eyes grow big and my mouth drools every time I go there. I just wanna grab a bite to that crunchy in the outside but soft in the inside kind of pretzel. Now I won't be able to see those yummy pretzels again. (sad)  How I wish they would open up again.

Calea: Pecan Pie

We were supposed to buy Calea's imported chocolate cake but when we arrived at their shop, all their chocolate cakes are almost gone. There were many people inside and outside the shop dying to eat Calea's cakes. We had no choice but to buy what's left of their fridge. We saw the pecan pie displayed and my aunt told us that it tastes delicious when paired with vanilla ice cream on top. We were convinced by our aunt's comment and so we bought it. It was new year's day when I had a slice of these mouth watering pie topped with vanilla ice cream. At first I find it too sweet but as I paired it with the ice cream, the sweetness was a bit neutralized as what my sister told me. She was right. The sweetness and the balanced taste of the ice cream went well together. I couldn't stop eating the pie especially the pecan nuts! It was all so good that you would get an insulin shot once you had a slice of this. Why don't you try it yourself and tell me your experience? :)
