REVIEW
It's my first time to taste Greeno'z pizza and I was excited because looking at the pizza made my mouth water. It's overloaded with toppings and I can't wait to take a bite. My cousin had ordered two huge pizzas with different flavors. The pizza was tasty but what I didn't like was the crust. I was expecting the crust to be crunchy but it's just like a pita bread for me. Out of 5 stars I'll be giving them 3 stars for having an affordable pizza. Truly "pang-masa"!

Crunchy Honey Glazed Garlic Chicken

Last week my sister had cooked a special dish that I was fully satisfied. We had chicken as our main ingredient so she decided to Google on how she could make a dish out of chicken. Then she found this recipe about honey garlic chicken which was so easy to cook. She first marinated the chicken for half an hour. She then fried the chicken but instead of using flour, she used cornstarch. Then after frying, she made the sauce which consists of garlic, honey and soy sauce. She simmered the sauce for about 2 minutes and after that she poured it over the chicken.

Here's the yummy dish we had..

REVIEW
Checking out the photos in the internet about honey garlic chicken made my mouth water and I'm sure that it would be delicious. After tasting my sister's dish, there was something that sparked in me. That means the dish has excellent taste and I want to eat more of it. It's nice that she used cornstarch and that it made the chicken skin crunchier. I love the thought of having more toasted garlic because it compliments the honey and the soy sauce. I recommend you try cooking this dish. It's simple, fast and easy!

Sabor Bisaya Cake Decorating Contest

Last July 2012, there was a cake decorating contest held at Bacolod Pavilion Hotel and my cousin was a  representative of their school. Each school should have 3 representatives that would decorate the cake according to the event's theme which is, "It's more fun in Negros!". Of course the winning entry was my cousin's cake entry. They had the most beautiful decorations that stood among all other schools. The thing that wowed the judges is the smoke coming out from the 2 cylinder at the top of the cake which was an incense stick lighted by my cousin. So here's a photo of their winning design..

HERE ARE OTHER CAKE ENTRIES:

How to Make Cake Pops!

CAKE POPS RECIPE

1 box cake mix (cook as directed on box for 13 X 9 cake)
1 can cream cheese frosting (16 oz.) or royal icing
1 package chocolate bark (regular or white chocolate) or candy melts
wax paper
1. After cake is cooked and cooled completely, crumble into large bowl.
2. Mix thoroughly with 1 can cream cheese frosting. (It may be easier to use fingers to mix together, but be warned it will get messy.)
3. Roll mixture into quarter size balls and lay on cookie sheet. (Should make 45-50. You can get even more if you use a mini ice cream scooper, but I like to hand roll them.)
4. Chill for several hours in the freezer.
5. Melt chocolate in microwave per directions on package or through double broiler.
6. Dip lollipop sticks on to melted chocolate and insert into the balls.
7. Roll balls in chocolate and stick on styrofoam block to dry.  (Use a spoon to dip and roll in chocolate and then tap off extra.)
I also only melt a few pieces of chocolate bark at a time because it starts to cool and thicken. It’s easier to work with when it’s hot.

Calea's Best Seller Ice Cream Cake

It was the month of June when my parents left to go to Bacolod City for a vacation. Since I also missed my home town, I decided to go after them. During our stay there, my twin and I strolled the malls. We passed by Calea, a known pastry shop in Bacolod and decided to give ourselves a treat. We usually order their for ther chocolate cake but this time we wanted something different. My sister in law told me that their ice cream cakes are the best so, I told my twin that we should try their ice cream cakes. I asked the staff for their best seller and she pointed to us their chocolate mud pie. So my twin and I had the chocolate mud pie ice cream cake!

REVIEW:
Getting to taste Calea's ice cream cake is heaven. The chocolate mud pie is rich in chocolate ice cream and topped with choco cookie crumbs and walnuts. Though you need to have a glass of water beside you because I find it sweet the longer I eat it. The price is just right for the taste but some would find it expensive.

Perri Todd's All-American Burger

It was May 2012 when my cousins from Cebu came here at Iloilo for a special event. To surprise them, we decided to take them to Perri Todd's for lunch. We were seated in a long table and had a great talk over our sumptuous meal. My cousins were in awe upon seeing that big burger that almost filled the plate. They enjoyed it and left with their stomachs full.

Aside from burgers, Perri Todd's also serves pastas, sizzling chicken, barbecues, salads, some sidings and a lot more. If you want some extra toppings on your burger, you can choose from: bacon, buttered mushroom, grilled pineapple, caramelized onion, cheese, blue cheese or a cheesy mushroom sauce.

Grilled Burger with Cheesy Mushroom Dressing

Pomodoro

REVIEW:
What I like about the burger is that it's topped with fresh veggies. The dressing is delicious and tasty. The patties is meaty and juicy. For their Pomodoro, the pasta is al dente and the sauce is just right. Perfect with the garlic bread. A must try is their Todd's potato which is a mojo version and their onion rings. The only thing I have to comment is their restaurant space. It's small and can accomodate a few people. I guess they need to expand their space so a lot of people could dine in. I'll be giving Perri Todd's a four star rate because of the affordable and delicious food we had.

Handuraw: The best tasting thin crust Pizza

It was summer of last year when my parents and I, together with my twin sister went for a vacation in Cebu. We went to different places and spent some time together with our relatives. We also discovered a great pizza place named Handuraw. Handuraw is a Cebuano term meaning the power to imagine. It was opened on July 2004 and was owned and managed by the Kasidlakan Incorporated. Handuraw is now known as the best place for great tasting thin crust pizzas. It not only offers pizza but also pasta, ciabatta, pica-pica, soups and salads, rice bowl and delectable desserts. It's a haven that brings friends and families together, strengthening their ties over food, art, and music.

Their colorful Menu offers a wide array of delicious foods

Handuraw offers yummy and affordable pizzas.

Cheesy Cheese Pizza

REVIEW:
For my overall rating, I'll be giving Handuraw a five star rate. It's the best pizza I've ever tasted. It's better than the commercial pizzas of those pizza shops found in the malls. The crust is perfect and no burnt edges. The toppings are fresh and cheese is gooey. The pizza is worth the money and it's best to share with your loved ones. I'll definitely try to eat there again!
